This issue of FYI Kauai marks a milestone of sorts as our subscription list passed the 3,000 mark. Although that's a heck of a lot less than the New York Times, or any other mainstream publication for that matter, it's not bad for a small little operation like ours. It took almost a year to hit the 500 mark, however the last 1,000 subscribers were added in just the last 6 months. We remain committed to bringing you all the latest from Kauai in an easy to read format. As always, we're open to any and all suggestions on ways to improve our content to make it more informative.
I need to knock on wood before saying this, but it looks a good chunk of our remaining remodeling will at last be beginning in early May. New Berber carpeting will be installed in the Aloha and Oceanview Villas. The hardwood floors will be refinished in the Aloha. New kitchen cabinets will be installed in both Villas and the Oceanview receives a new stove and built-in oven. The plan is for the bathroom remodels to be completed by the end of summer. Much depends upon Joe, the new person we've found to install granite. If he shows up on time, every time, there will be a big smile on my face. We'll keep you posted.
