Anatomy of an Out Cleaning Fee
 If you've ever wondered (or not) about the amount we charge as an out cleaning fee, here is what we do to make sure we maintain the highest standards of cleanliness. Many thanks go out to Melinda and Lisa for doing an absolutely incredible job in maintaining our Villas in like new condition.
Each Stay
We change the linens, bath towels, kitchen towels and beach towels, of course.
Bathrooms are cleaned including the inside of the medicine cabinet.
Fresh toilet paper, facial soap, bath soap, shampoo, lotion and shower cap are provided.
In the kitchen, in addition to doing the dishes, the inside of the refrigerator, oven, microwave and toaster oven is cleaned. The stove top, blender and coffee maker are also cleaned. We supply a fresh sponge, paper towels and keep dish soap, dishwasher soap, extra trash bags and Windex under the kitchen sink. All of the kitchen cabinet drawers and cabinets are checked and wiped out. Dishes, silverware and pots and pans are inventoried and replaced as needed.
All furniture is dusted and waxed. Glass tabletops are cleaned with Windex. Lamps and light bulbs are dusted. All carpeting is vacuumed and treated with spot remover as needed. All hardwood floors and tile surfaces are wet mopped. Wooden blinds and ceiling fans are dusted.
Covered lanais are swept and tables and chairs cleaned and dusted. Bar-b-cue grills are brushed off.
The spa in the Seabreeze Villa is cleaned professionally each week by Tropic Pool and Spa.
The laundry rooms are cleaned weekly and fresh detergent, bleach and Bounce dryer sheets provided.
The concrete slabs where the garbage cans are located are washed down weekly. Garbage cans are also scrubbed out as needed (one of Herb's favorite jobs) :-)
Quarterly Deep Clean
Mattresses are turned and duvet covers, shams and bed skirts inspected and washed or dry cleaned as needed. All beds, night stands and dressers are pulled out from the wall and dusted. All other furniture that is in a place where dust can collect is moved and dusted. All air conditioning vents and filters are removed and washed. Air conditioning units are wiped down with a wet cloth. Ceiling fans are deep cleaned top and bottom and glass fixtures and light bulbs cleaned.
All units are inspected as to the need for carpet and furniture cleaning. The actual cleaning is done on site by an outside service (Juan Keone). Draperies are sent to the cleaners (Up To Date) as needed. Bar-b-cues are deep cleaned and propane tanks wiped off.
All windows are professionally washed inside and out every three months.
The entire property is sprayed quarterly for insects inside and out by Mokihana Pest Control.
Interior and exterior paint is touched up as needed. Stairs are painted with non-slip paint twice a year and all exterior decks are painted at least once a year.
