The guest laundry room for the 2315 building has finally been completed! YEA. Two new Maytag, full size stackable washers and dryers have been installed. There's also a six foot long granite countertop, custom cherry wood cabinets, ceramic tile floor, baseboard and crown molding so you can now luxuriate while doing your laundry.
A new snorkel gear storage facility has now been completed on property. This means all of the snorkel gear currently in Herb and Gale's garage will be moving down to Poipu. YEA again! It also means quicker access for guests who need gear at the last minute.
We had such good luck with the construction of the laundry room and snorkel gear storage room (thank you Abe Silva and Ed Sindt) and we decided to go ahead and construct an office at Hideaway. We had intended to use the space for another Villa, however having an office on property will be a major upgrade to service for our guests and we believe will be worth it in the long run.
The office will be staffed five days a week, Monday to Friday and phones will continue to be answered from 9am to 9pm, seven days a week. Dianne Ritter, has worked with Gale at her concierge desk, has accounting experience and has also answered phones, will be joining us again as one of two people who will staff the office. If everything goes according to plan, we should be up and running just after the first of the year.
We continue to work toward our goal of becoming a hot spot with wireless internet access. Although I've predicted a start date for this service before, I hesitate to do so now. I will stick my neck out and say we'll have high speed access no later than the first of the year.
