Sometimes the most romantic day can be spent right on your covered lanai reading and listening to the birds chirp. Or walk to the end of our street for one of our many spectacular Poipu sunsets. Don't miss the large turtles in the water in front of you. Here are some other thoughts:

Eat great sushi then listen to live jazz beginning at 9 pm at Stevenson's Library at the Grand Hyatt.
Pack a picnic lunch and go for a hike.
Head to the east side of Kauai and rent a bike at any of several bike shops in Kapaa. Rent one with a front basket to hold your pupus (snacks) and a bottle of wine or champagne. Now you're all set to ride Kauai's bike path.
Try zip-lining through jungle canopy. Several different courses are available.
If you're on island in June, attend The Taste of Hawaii. Not to be missed!
Paddle a kayak up the Wailua river, then hike to a dramatic waterfall.
Attend the fireworks show at Vidinha Stadium on the 4th of July.
Wear a miners hat and go tubing through tunnels dug through solid rock carved out decades ago to bring water down from the wettest place on earth.
Watch the sunset from the ocean front Beach House Restaurant, a ten minute drive from Hideaway Cove. Or, if you're more adventuresome, take your beach chairs to the beach in front of the Marriott. You can bring your own pupus (snacks) or enjoy the happy hour at the Marriott's beachside casual restaurant and bar right on the water.
Purchase day passes for the Anara Spa at the nearby Grand Hyatt Resort, a short five minute drive from Hideaway. Enjoy the cardio and weight work out rooms or many different classes from yoga to aqua aerobics.
Relax on the comfortable chaise lounges at the adults only pool. Order food by phone from the pool bar or Illima Terrace. Pick it up and bring it back to enjoy at one of the pool side tables.
Be sure and enjoy the separate mens and women hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms and outdoor lava rock showers.
